Project Manager

Description:

We’re looking for a Project Manager with experience in commercial construction who can lead projects from concept through completion. You’ll oversee scheduling, budgeting, and coordination while building collaboration between clients, subcontractors, and your project team. This role requires a balance of leadership, communication, and technical skill to ensure every project reflects the quality and integrity that define Westwood.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through close-out

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and performance to ensure quality and efficiency

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

  • Lead on-site teams to maintain progress, safety, and adherence to design and specifications

  • Identify challenges and proactively develop solutions

  • Support and mentor team members to promote professional growth

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial construction project management

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control

Project Manager Assistant

We’re looking for a Project Manager’s Assistant who is motivated to learn, eager to grow, and ready to contribute to our team’s success. In this role, you will support project managers in all aspects of planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while working closely with seasoned professionals who are committed to helping you build your career in project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers with scheduling, documentation, and daily project coordination

  • Track project progress, budgets, and materials to ensure timelines and quality standards are met

  • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to support project needs

  • Help prepare reports, meeting notes, and project documentation

  • Maintain organized project files and assist with administrative tasks as needed

  • Visit job sites to observe progress, safety practices, and learn field operations

  • Take initiative to learn new systems, tools, and best practices

  • Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong desire to grow into greater responsibility

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on a wide range of construction projects

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other materials with accuracy

  • Ensure all work meets Westwood’s quality standards and safety protocols

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

  • Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to meet project goals and timelines

  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site challenges with a proactive attitude

  • Take initiative in learning new methods, tools, and techniques to grow your expertise

 

What We’re Looking For:

Apprentice Carpenter

Description:

At Westwood, we believe in building more than projects. We build people. We’re looking for an Apprentice Carpenter who is ready to learn, grow, and take the first steps toward a lasting career in the trades. In this role, you will work alongside experienced carpenters and construction professionals, gaining hands-on experience in both rough and finish carpentry. You will learn the fundamentals of the craft while contributing to projects that reflect Westwood’s commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials

  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment

  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures on every job site

  • Support the team in completing projects on time and to Westwood’s quality standards

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take direction

  • Show initiative in developing new skills and taking on more responsibility over time

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 0-2 years of experience in carpentry or construction

  • Desire to learn and grow within the trade

  • Enrollment in a registered Apprenticeship Program or willingness to join one upon hire

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow direction

  • Commitment to safety and craftsmanship
